Meet the Nedbank Tour de Tuli Office Team

First off we have Nicola Harris who heads up the event. She has been with Tour de Tuli since 2008 and for those of you who have had the pleasure to meet Nicola, you will know that this no-nonsense blonde takes no prisoners when it comes to making sure every task is done as close to perfection as possible. Heading up the Tour is a beast of a challenge and no stone is left unturned in the quest to create an event that becomes the stuff of legends.

“I feel privileged to be part of this remarkable team making a difference to the sustainability of our wildlife areas and of course the children. I am so proud of what we do and feel blessed that I have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and call it my job!”




Jonathan Felix, new to the team has taken on the challenge of Operations Manager for all Tour de Wilderness events.
“My previous overland guiding days in East and southern Africa and a 7-month charity cycle tour (driver/mechanic) from Cape Town to London have been life-changing events, fuelling my love for Africa.I’m reliable, focused and thrive on responsibility, making me the person I am today. I have a passion for travel, adventure, South African history and Land Rovers.”



The third member joining the dynamic team is Shona Erasmus. From the beautiful Botswana to all over South Africa, she has brought along her passion and interest for tourism, events and working with people. Previously involved with group travel, sporting events, and being involved in conservation projects and research on our National Parks, working with the Nedbank Tour de Tuli team is a start to another memorable journey. Some of Shona’s key contributions include her eye for detail, dedication and compassion to any task she undertakes.

“When something ignites that fiery passion in your heart, you know you are doing the right thing. The initiatives that Children in the Wilderness manage are admirable and the impact that they make in the communities is truly special.”

Every exciting event comes with bucket loads of…admin! That is why we are fortunate to have Mari as part of the team.

Mari Dos Santos has been involved in the travel industry since 1977. She joined Wilderness Safaris in 1999 as Personal Assistant to the CEO and is now fulfilling the role of Administrator/Secretary for the Wilderness Wildlife Trust. Mari has from the start assisted the Children in the Wilderness team with their cycling tours in all different roles. Most memorable has been the position of ‘Tea Lady’ at the cycling tea stops.

“One feels empowered by being part of this sustainable conservation company; no matter how small your contribution is, it goes a long way in making it better for others. You have to be happy in what you are doing and most importantly be yourself.”


Liza Steyn is ‘Miss Money Penny’ in the team with the role of admin and bookkeeping. She is excited to be a part of the team and strongly believes in the principles of increasing children’s self-esteem, teaching new skills and imparting knowledge and appreciation of the natural environment.

“The Nedbank Tour de Tuli is an awe-inspiring fundraising event that truly touches lives; those of the cyclists, the Children in the Wilderness team and most importantly the children…who we endeavour to inspire, educate and infuse with our great love of the African wilderness.”
